NBA Draft Analyst Krysten Peek sits down with one of the biggest risers in the high school senior class, Chris Cenac, at the USA Basketball junior minicamp.

Video Transcript

I'm Christoph.

You here with Chris and a at USA basketball training camp, Chris, you had like a breakout summer, you were one of the top players players to watch.

Um How does it feel being on the court here back at USA basketball?

I mean, it feels great just like learning from the coaches every time I come here, I learn something new.

So and just playing with top guys getting better, learning from them, you know, playing, learning what I have to do when I'm playing against, you know, other top guys.

So I go back at home and uh, improve on that.

Yeah, you say getting better, I feel like you get better every time I see you, you got NBA scouts here, you know, I know that's your end goal.

But what are you hoping to show them in terms of your progression in your game?

Just my versatility, being able to guard multiple positions, being able to switch off screens, uh, and being able to play inside out.

Just the versatility of my game.

You're down to a final seven.

I've memorized it, Auburn, Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, uh, Tennessee LSU and Kentucky.

What was it?

About those seven schools that kind of put them over the rest.

I mean, just them being consistent, reaching out and just them showing me like what they'll do for me and just me doing a little bit of research on like, guys that, you know, those coaches have had that are similar to me.

So, are you going to narrow it down to like a top three or top four before you make a decision or what's your plan?

I'm not sure yet.

I mean, I kinda wanna commit somewhere before like the first signing period like November.

Uh, so I'm not sure yet just trying to get these last three visits.

Arkansas issuing, uh, bail out the way and then go from there.

Really?

Ok. And in terms of like, what's gonna come down to your decision?

Like is it playing style fit coaching that, you know, just the relationship they have, like, what's important to you?

I think it's everything overall, it's gonna be, this is probably the hardest decision I'll ever make.

So I think it's just gonna come down to like family, like the coaching staff, like who's gonna develop me to get ready for the NBA the quickest, you know.

So uh yeah, that's about it.

Really in playstyle, NBA playstyle just getting me ready.

I mean, you, you do show like glimpses of being like an NBA inside out big, your jump shots coming along.

Who do you watch a lot of to try to emulate your game after, uh I'll say like Andy Davis call, deny towns guys like that.

That could just play inside out, shoot the tray ball.

So, yeah, those type of guys.

Ok. And you said you wanna decide before the November?

That's, that's, that's my goal, but, uh, that's my goal.

But if anything goes wrong, then I'll probably end up committing like January.

What are, what are some of your goals for your senior season?

Uh, the main goal on my mind right now is, uh, winning the national championship with Link Academy.

You know what I mean?

That's what we talk about all the time at practice.

We're getting each other better.

So our goal is winning the national championship.

I mean, you guys have a squad so it's, it's definitely impossible.

All right, Chris, thank you so much for the time.

Good luck at Link this year and for more information on Chris and I keep it right here on Yahoo Sports.
