Ahead of the annual springtime holiday, many may be searching for the perfect present to give to the moms in their lives, and flowers are always a great go-to gift idea.
Fifty Flowers, a flower delivery service, crafted a list of the top 10 types of flowers to give moms this Mother's Day, with roses topping the list.
According to the website, the flowers are considered "timeless" and "elegant" and the different variations of colors they come in signify different things.
Pink roses, for example, represent "elegance, sweetness and appreciation, making them ideal for showing your mom adoration," Fifty Flowers said, while their yellow counterparts represent "joy and friendship."

Fifty Flowers then said that carnations — which "are known to symbolize beauty" — are also popular flower options, as are lilies, which the website says symbolize "new life, fertility, innocence and fruitfulness."
Tulips are another perfect option for Mother's Day, per Fifty Flowers, and the website points out that they are "unique" given that "they continue to grow, even after they’re cut."
Next up, calla lilies and peonies are also listed as great flower types to gift moms, as are sunflowers and gerber daisies.
Garden roses and gladiolus close out the list as other flowers perfect to present a mom on the special day celebrating her.
Picking out the perfect flowers for Mother's Day "is all about making your mom feel special," Fifty Flowers said, adding, "As you shop, consider what colors and styles your mom enjoys."
