If you've ever been curious about how to recreate this tasty treat at home, I'm here to help — I found a TikTok recipe that's racked up more than 1 million views — and I put it to the test to see if it's really as good as people are saying.

How to make the Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme at home, according to TikTok

In her viral video, social media user Kristen Luster walks her audience through how to recreate Taco Bell's coveted Crunchwrap Supreme recipe at home using a few simple ingredients.

In the clip, Kristen starts out with a large soft tortilla and tops it with a couple of spoonfuls of queso sauce, spreading it evenly around. She then fries up some hamburger meat with taco seasoning, layering it on top of the sauce. After this step, she adds some grated marbled and cheddar cheese overtop everything so far. Then, to finish, she adds the following respective layers of salsa, sliced lettuce, sour cream and diced tomatoes. Her final layer consists of some nacho cheese-flavoured Doritos.

To ensure everything stays put when frying, she places a smaller tortilla overtop the middle of the layers, folding all the sides of the large tortilla in to create the signature Crunchwrap Supreme shape.

Then, she places the wrap on a frying pan to crisp up both sides before cutting it in half a a final fast food-esque touch.

Trying the trend: How does this at-home Crunchwrap stack up?

I'm a huge fan of Taco Bell's Crunchwrap Supremes, so I loved the idea of being able to make this tasty dish at home.

First off, I cooked my ground beef with some added taco seasoning. Once that was ready and slightly cooled, I set that aside and began assembling.

To start, I spread queso sauce on the tortilla and then followed it with ground beef.

After this step, I added the rest of my layers. which included grated cheddar cheese (this is what I had at home), salsa, lettuce, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and, of course, Doritos.

Once all of my layers were assembled, I added a smaller tortilla on top of everything and folded the edges of the large tortilla inwards to wrap it all up.

After this, I greased a pan slightly and warmed up the Crunchwrap Supreme on both sides until the tortilla shell crisped up a bit.

Then, it was time to enjoy!

Final verdict: Is the DIY Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme worth the hype?

This recipe did not disappoint — it tasted just like a Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme.

As outlined on the brand's website here, the original Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme includes; seasoned ground beef, nacho cheese sauce, crunchy tostada, reduced-fat sour cream, lettuce, and tomato all layered inside of a toasted soft flour tortilla.

However, I appreciated how this TikTok recipe by @kristenluster was more custom. Although the original Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme does not include Doritos (instead, a crunchy tostada), these were a fun addition and added an extra layer of flavourful crunch.

I was also surprised at how easy this recipe was to recreate at home. Not only was this a time-saving dinner recipe, but the ingredients were simple and easy to find. In addition, this is a fully customizable dish, which means you can layer up your Crunchwrap however you see fit.

A dinner win in my books!
