World Press winning photojournalist David Goldman

David Goldman was born in New York City and received his BA in Journalism, with a minor in Spanish, at the University of Rhode Island. In 2010, Goldman joined the Associated Press as a staff photographer based in Atlanta, Ga.

He has covered stories ranging from Afghanistan, Gaza and the West Bank, to U.S. presidential campaigns and the London Olympics. He was part of the AP’s Pulitzer Prize-nominated finalist team entry in 2010 for Breaking News Photography for coverage of the war in Afghanistan.

Goldman’s work has earned him Photographer of the Year from the New York Press Photographer’s Association in 2010 and 2013 and a World Press award in 2012 for his photo of a Canadian soldier in Afghanistan. (AP)
