In a short interview with TMZ Laila Ali was quizzed as to whether she could beat Rousey in a fight. She initially downplayed the scenario, but as the interview progressed, she did not hesitate in declaring that she would undoubtedly emerge the victor.

"That’s like a question I’m not even going to answer because, for one, I’m not a UFC fighter and she’s not a boxer, and no woman can beat me. Period."
