Early projection of 2018 Team Canada roster

A decision on NHL players participating in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, could come in the next six months. If they decide not to go, the entire team will change but if they do go, there will be alot of returning players from the 2014 gold medal team.

Of course alot can happen in four years. Injuries, retirement and sometimes a players' abilities fade. In this list compiled by The Canadian Press' Stephen Whyno, there will be 16 returning players from the 2014 roster including a few glaring omissions and a couple of surprise additions.
