Zalewski chosen as Buchanan’s replacement as Inter close in on deal with Roma
Tajon Buchanan’s loan switch to Villarreal is reportedly paving the way for Nicola Zalewski’s move from Roma to Inter, as the Nerazzurri have eyed the 23-year-old as the ideal replacement for the Canada star.
The former Club Brugge winger has agreed to join the La Liga outfit on loan for the next six months in an attempt to gain more playing time. However, the move could become permanent if the Spanish club decides to activate an option to buy included in the deal.

Zalewski is said to be interested in joining Simone Inzaghi’s side, to the point that he rejected the prospect of moving to Olympique Marseille after his club reportedly reached an agreement with the French side.
However, the Nerazzurri are only considering signing the left-winger on loan, meaning he would need to extend his contract at the Stadio Olimpico before leaving, as he has just six months remaining on his current deal.
