Will Zalatoris is the latest star PGA Tour player to withdraw from the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California.

Zalatoris pulled out of the tournament Wednesday morning before his first-round tee time. A reason was not given for his WD. Ryan Moore will replace him in the field.

He's the latest big-name player to withdraw from the tournament, including Collin Morikawa and Akshay Bhatia also backing out earlier this week.

The reason? Perhaps it's because the PGA Tour is nearing an announcement to move the 2025 Genesis Invitational to Torrey Pines from Riviera Country Club because of the Los Angeles wildfires. Players may not want to play Torrey Pines twice in four weeks, especially since the second tournament would be a signature event.

The PGA Tour has yet to officially announce where the Genesis Invitational will be held, but with 22 days until it's expected to begin, an announcement is likely coming soon, if not Wednesday.
