Zach Filak Commits To Vermont

Sarnia Sting forward Zach Filak has committed to Vermont, it was announced earlier this week.

Filak, a product of Northville, Mich., is in his final season of junior eligibility where he has collected 11 goals and 23 assists for 34 points in 44 games.

Drafted by the Sting in the ninth round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, Filak has appeared in 227 career OHL regular season games, putting up 59 goals and 134 points.

Prior to jumping into the OHL, Filak played his minor hockey with the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies, Honeybaked, and Compuware.

With Filak joining the Catamounts this fall, they will be getting a high energy forward who makes things happen with and without the puck. As someone who has impressed at every step of his hockey journey, Filak should be no different at the NCAA level.
