Memphis Grizzlies top draft pick Zach Edey missed another game tonight in NBA Summer League, this time for Memphis' game against the Orlando Magic.

Edey, the No. 9 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, last played in the Grizzles' 97-95 overtime loss to the Utah Jazz on July 8. Edey had a big impact in the paint in that one with 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting - including a late tip-in to force overtime - along with 15 rebounds and four blocks. He suffered an ankle injury early on in the game and played through it.

He's missed the five games since that loss to Utah and was considered day-to-day with the ankle injury. Trey Jemison's been the starter in Edey's place in those missed games.

Team officials say he is expected to return in Summer League for the Grizzlies.

When do the Memphis Grizzlies play next?

Edey will have one more chance to play in NBA Summer League action. Here's the last game on the schedule for the Grizzlies:
