New York Rangers Assign Matt Rempe To Hartford, Claim Arthur Kaliyev Off Waivers
The New York Rangers have assigned forward Matt Rempe to their AHL affiliate Hartford Wolf Pack to make room for the newly acquired Arthur Kaliyev.
The Rangers claimed Kaliyev off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings earlier today.
Rempe has served seven games of the eight game suspension he received for hitting Dallas Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen, he is eligible to play for Hartford but must serve the final game when he is recalled.

The 22-year-old is pointless in five games with the Rangers this season while averaging 6:15 of time on ice per game. He has three goals and five points in 18 games with the Wolf Pack.

The 33rd overall selection in the 2019 draft, Kaliyev had one goal and one assist in a five-game AHL conditioning stint with the Ontario Reign earlier this season after suffering a broken clavicle in training camp.
The Rangers take on the Dallas Stars tomorrow while the Wolf Pack play back-to-back against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Friday and Saturday.
