Yildiz injury update after Juventus’ win over Milan
Thiago Motta says Kenan Yildiz will be assessed after suffering a suspected adductor injury against Milan, but ‘hopefully’ his physical issue is ‘not serious.’
The Turkey international was subbed off during the half-time break of Juventus’ 2-0 win over Milan on Saturday.
The result was still 0-0 when Yildiz was replaced by Timothy Weah, who went on to score the second Juventus goal against the Rossoneri.
Motta said before the second half that Yildiz had sustained a suspected adductor injury and provided a further update during a post-match press conference attended by Football Italia.

“Yildiz was replaced during the break because he felt something in the adductor,” said the Juventus boss.
“I didn’t want to take any risk. We’ll assess him; hopefully, it is nothing serious.”
Dusan Vlahovic returned from an injury and was introduced as a substitute in the second half.
“Dusan is doing well after a period on the sidelines due to a muscle injury,” added Motta.
“The important thing is to understand our philosophy, and the lads are very smart. It’s not about the number of minutes, but the quality, and everyone did well today.”
Francisco Conceiçao was not available this evening, but Motta hopes the Portuguese will be back for the next match.
“He is improving and I hope he’ll be back in the group for the next game,” concluded Motta
Juventus’ next official match is against Club Brugge in the Champions League on January 21. The next Serie A match is away at Napoli this coming Saturday.
