Yep, He Went There: Floyd Mayweather Brought Up That One Time Oscar De La Hoya Dressed In Drag…

Petty is as petty does.

It’s no secret that Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya are not friends, as the two keep sending jabs each other’s way.

Following his attendance at the Danny Garcia/Robert Guerrero fight on Saturday night (Jan. 23), Mayweather sat down with Fight Hype and had a few more words for De La Hoya. Taking the petty route, the undefeated retiree brought up that one time De La Hoya dressed in drag. And in true Mayweather fashion, he also brought his argument back to his very healthy bank account.

“Of course, you know I’m sending shots at Oscar De La Hoya. I’m always sending shots at him because I don’t respect a man that dress in drag,” Mayweather said of De La Hoya. “He likes to send shots at me and say I’m a boring fighter, I like to run. Yup, I like to run right to the bank. And since Oscar De La Hoya feel like he accomplished more than me, and he got more than me, why don’t we just see? I can take him to one account and show his $450 million. What can he show me? That’s just one account.”

Back in November, De La Hoya penned an open letter to Mayweather for Playboy, bidding a quite disrespectful farewell to him.

“Let’s face it: You were boring. Just take a look at your most recent performance, your last hurrah in the ring, a 12-round decision against Andre Berto. How to describe it? A bust? A disaster? A snooze fest? An affair so one-sided that on one judge’s card Berto didn’t win a single round?”
