WWE, TNA tag-team for groundbreaking partnership, bringing crossover talent to NXT and iMPACT!
WWE is breaking ground like never before in 2025.
ESPN confirmed Thursday that WWE and TNA have agreed to a multi-year partnership. While TNA talent like Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace have recently appeared on WWE programming, the new partnership means TNA pro wrestlers will regularly be seen on WWE's developmental brand, NXT.
The companies released the following statement about the deal:
“The agreement will enable talent to garner additional exposure across key WWE and TNA programming, including weekly flagship shows such as NXT — which airs live on The CW — and TNA iMPACT!, select WWE Premium Live Events and TNA pay-per-views, in turn bolstering their in-ring development with exposure to world-class talent and coaching."
The partnership reaching this point appeared imminent after the companies began sharing talent. Aside from the TNA wrestlers who have crossed over, WWE's Wes Lee, Charlie Dempsey and Riley Osbourne have already appeared on TNA programming as well.
"We look forward to growing and evolving our partnership with TNA Wrestling and its outstanding group of athletes by creating new opportunities to further the development of our talent and to elevate the viewer experience at home," said WWE senior vice president of talent development creative Shawn Michaels.
The news comes ahead of one of WWE's prominent annual PLEs, the Royal Rumble, and after TNA returned to its original TNA branding in late 2023. TNA became "Impact!" under Global Force Wrestling in 2017, altering the company's look and name since it began in 2002.
WWE NXT currently airs on The CW Network every Tuesday night while TNA iMPACT! airs on Thursdays on AXS TV.
