Wright leaves Rangers for Diamonds loan

Rangers goalkeeper Kieran Wright has joined Scottish Championship side Airdrieonians on a season-long loan deal.

The 25-year-old, who has been with the Ibrox club since 2016 but is yet to make his debut, has enjoyed previous loan spells with Alloa Athletic, Dumbarton and Partick Thistle.

A Scotland youth international, Wright joins former Rangers midfielder Rhys McCabe's Diamonds, who will have ambitions of reaching the Premiership play-offs once again this season, after they fell short of promotion last season.
