"We Worked Hard For It, And Finally, Everything Pays Off": Fabian Zetterlund & Sharks Seeing Hard Work Turn Into Positive Results

The San Jose Sharks' first nine games have quickly been forgotten with their three-game win streak.

Fabian Zetterlund has spoken with Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman and said that coming to the rink every day during the 23-24 season was brutal.

After scoring 24 goals in 82 games last season, Zetterlund is off to another good start with six goals in 12 games. The winger has found chemistry with fellow Swede Alexander Wennberg on the Sharks second line.

"We worked hard for it in the summer to come in with a new mindset and just have fun," Zetterlund told THN. "Finally, everything pays off."

During the Sharks winning streak, Zetterlund has four points (three goals, one assist). His offseason training was well documented as multiple lifting videos were released on social media.

But what changed from last season?

"I don't like to talk about last year, but this year, it feels we have fun out there. You saw in practice that we have music. [We are] just feeling the puck, communicating. A lot of laughs and all that kind of stuff." Zetterlund said. " We have fun in the locker room too. You want to bring that good vibe the whole time. It's got to be fun to come into the rink and see all the guys and battle with them."

Zetterlund will become an RFA after this season, and if he continues to have success, he could be in for a big payday. The Sharks take on the Vancouver Canucks tonight for a chance to extend their winning streak to four games.
