Both teams in the 2024 Super Bowl have arrived in Las Vegas, and this year's big game is just six days away. But who won it all last year?

Last February, Super Bowl 57 determined the outcome of the 2022 NFL season. After 18 weeks of the regular season and three rounds of playoff battles, the Kansas City Chiefs met the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl in Arizona. It was the Chief's third Super Bowl appearance of the decade and the Eagles' fourth in their history.

Last year, the two No. 1 seeds – the Chiefs and the Eagles – both with 14-3 records in the regular season, met in the Super Bowl at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Eagles were favored by 1.5 points at the time of kickoff. One of the biggest storylines of the game was that of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Eagles center Jason Kelce, who became the first brothers to ever face off in the Super Bowl.

In the end, it was Travis and Kansas City that emerged victorious, 38-35, despite four total touchdowns – three rushing, one passing – and over 300 passing yards from Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Super Bowl 57 was an epic event. Much of that was due to more than the Eagles and Chiefs but also the halftime performance. Rihanna provided her own unique style and extensive set list to the millions watching from home.

Has there ever been a back-to-back Super Bowl champion?

This year, the Chiefs will be looking to become the first back-to-back NFL champions since the Patriots won two in a row in 2003 and 2004. It's a feat that has happened eight times in NFL history.

  • 1966-67: The Packers won the first two Super Bowls, then called the AFL-NFL World Championship Game

  • 1972-73: The Don Shula-led Dolphins completed the first (and only) perfect season in NFL history with a Super Bowl 7 win then followed it up with a win in Super Bowl 8.

  • 1974-75: Quarterback Terry Bradshaw led the Steelers to wins in Super Bowls 9 and 10

  • 1978-79: The Steelers do it again with two more Lombardi Trophies in Super Bowls 13 and 14.

  • 1988-89: Former 49ers quarterback Joe Montana won his final two rings in back-to-back Super Bowl victories in 23 and 24

  • 1992-93: Super Bowls 27 and 28 were two straight clashes between the Bills and Cowboys. Dallas came away with victories in both games.

  • 1997-98: Former Broncos quarterback (and general manager) John Elway won both of his career Lombardi Trophies in Super Bowls 32 and 33.

  • 2003-04: Tom Brady and the Patriots won their second and third championships in back-to-back seasons.
