WNBA All-Star Game Breaks Ratings Records With 3.4M Viewers On ABC
WNBA’s growing popularity, fueled by unprecedented interest in top rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, has set another high benchmark.
The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game on July 20 has averaged 3.442 million viewers on ABC, according to Nielsen. That is the largest audience ever fo an WNBA All-Star game, topping the previous high of 1.441M who watched the 2003 game on the broadcast network by a whopping 139%.

It was the largest WNBA audience ever — regular season, playoffs, draft, etc. — on ESPN Networks, surpassing the audience for the 2024 WNBA Draft – also buoyed by the star power of Clark and Reese — which delivered 2.45 million viewers. The game was the third most-viewed WNBA event ever and the largest WNBA audience since the league’s first two nationally televised games in 1997.
Saturday’s broadcast of the WNBA All-Star Game, a 117-109 Team WNBA victory over the U.S.A. Basketball Women’s National Team in Phoenix was up 305% in viewership from last year. The audience for the game peaked from 10:30 – 10:43 PM ET with 4,054,000 viewers.
