According to a report from RMC Sport, Wissam Ben Yedder (34) has been found guilty of sexual assault while intoxicated by the Nice Criminal Court. The former AS Monaco and Sevilla forward was found guilty on all charges and has been provided with a two-year suspended prison sentence.

Ben Yedder will also have to provide care and compensation for his victim which amounts to €6,500 (€5000 for moral damages and €1500 in legal costs). The prosecutors had asked for a sentence of two years and six months in prison, including an 18-month probatory period.

Ben Yedder also has been fined a further €5000 for failing to comply with a police order to stop his vehicle and has had his driving license suspended for six months, although the French outlet writes that his father’s car has been returned to him.

The footballer is currently under investigation in another ongoing case after he was alleged to have raped a woman in the summer of 2023.

RMC Sport also writes that Ben Yedder will also be tried at the end of the year for alleged psychological violence against his wife as part of their divorce proceedings.
