Yahoo Sports Winterbottom makes Fylde loan switch
Ben Winterbottom has joined AFC Fylde on a season-long loan.
The goalkeeper was promoted to Brentford’s first-team squad last month and will continue his development with a spell in the National League.
Winterbottom was loaned to National League South outfit Welling United last term and kept two clean sheets in 14 appearances.
The 22-year-old signed for the Bees in January 2021, departing Liverpool where he had been part of the under-23s set-up.
He began his career with Blackburn Rovers, rising through the ranks and breaking into the under-18s side at Ewood Park prior to his move to Merseyside.
