How Winnipeg Jetted The Rangers Into The Hudson

There's good news and bad news for Rangers fans.

GOOD NEWS: The Blueshirts next foe tomorrow night at The Garden happens to be the Sharks. Very-under-.500 San Jose is Rangers speed. It's almost a guaranteed win.

BAD NEWS: Mika Zibanejad is still struggling.

GOOD NEWS: Matt Rempe still is in Hartford.

BAD NEWS: The Rangers should become bakers. They now specialize in turnovers.

GOOD NEWS: Will Cuylle scored a goal and got an assist vs. Winnipeg. (Where there's A Will, there's a way.)

BAD NEWS: Benny Allaire ain't sieve Shesty's full-time goalie guru anymore. Now what's "The Nearly Highest-Paid Goalie In The League" gonna do? Get a new agent!

GOOD NEWS: Kaapo Kakko scored against the Jets. He won't be traded tomorrow. (Maybe Saturday).

BAD NEWS: I need an interpreter to understand Pistol Pete. When Lavvy says, "Isolated Incidents could have done something different," The Maven finds it hard to interpret.

GOOD NEWS; Defensemen Zac Jones – that's my boy! – and Braden Schneider both were plus-2.

BAD NEWS: K'Andre Miller was so bad, Blue Collar Blueshirts publisher Sean McCaffrey calls him "K'Atrocious." Another Sean gem: "Ranger fans finally saw a Jets touchdown" and "Mika assisted on a Jets field goal!"

GOOD NEWS: After playing the under .500 Sharks, the Rangers then play the under-.500 Kraken. Surely, Iggy, the goalie, can find a W there.

BAD NEWS: Defenseman Neal Pionk of Omaha, Nebraska had three assists for the Jets last night against the Rangers. Does that Pionk name ring a bell? (Oh, yeah, this fella – better than any New York defenseman last night – once was a Blueshirt.)

GOOD NEWS: The Rangers are a healthy 9-4-1 with still a chance to retain their coveted Presidents' Trophy.

BAD NEWS: Headline over Larry Brooks' NY Post column today: RANGERS CAN'T KEEP GOING ON LIKE THIS – OR IT'LL GET MUCH WORSE!
