Winnipeg Jets call up Marko Dano from Manitoba Moose

The Winnipeg Jets have recalled Marko Dano from the Manitoba Moose and placed Bryan Little on injured reserve.

Dano, 21, has played six games for the AHL's Manitoba Moose this season, recording two assists and four penalty minutes.

The Jets acquired him from the Chicago Blackhawks on Feb. 26, along with a first-round draft pick (Logan Stanley) in exchange for Andrew Ladd. After coming to the Jets, Dano scored eight points (4G, 4A) in 21 games last season.

Over his NHL career, the native of Trencin, Slovakia, has 31 points (13G, 18A) in 69 games.

Little was hurt in the Jets' season opener on Oct. 13 when he collided with Carolina Hurricanes' forward Bryan Bickell midway through the first period. He hobbled off the ice favouring a leg and didn't return to the game.

That was his first game since missing the final 25 of last season with the fractured vertebrae.
