The holiday season can bring out a lot of stress. Between buying gifts, being with your family and choosing the perfect sweater for your holiday party, we can’t blame you for having some anxiety as winter creeps forward. While we can’t help with all of those things, we here at The Stew may have found a solution to one of them.

Thanks to former Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz, you can now dominate your holiday party with an excellent, and profane, ugly Christmas sweater.

Yes, David Ortiz’s first move post-retirement was to get into the ugly Christmas sweater game. No, we can’t believe we just wrote that sentence.

The sweaters reference Ortiz’s speech to the Boston fans following the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013. Shortly after the bombings, Ortiz took the field at Fenway Park and rallied the fans with a speech that included the line, “this is our [expletive] city!”

The Ortiz sweaters cost $34, not including shipping. They can be purchased on Teespring.com, and come in three colors: Blue, light green and dark green. All proceeds from the sweaters will go toward the David Ortiz Children’s Fund, which helps children in New England and the Dominican Republic with congenital heart disease get the surgery they need.

We can’t think of a better way to announce your presence at your holiday party than walking in with some David Ortiz-level swagger. If you’re worried about your grandma being upset about your inappropriate outfit, just tell her it’s for a good cause. If she’s from Boston, though, she might be upset you didn’t order one for her as well.
