Wild's Marcus Johansson, Jonas Brodin Won't Join Team On Road Trip

ST. PAUL - In a day of what seemed like zero positive news, Marcus Johansson and Jonas Brodin also won't travel with the team on the road. So more negative news.

Johansson, 34, has missed the last five games with a concussion and will not join the team for the next four road games.

Brodin, 31, has missed the last nine games with a lower-body injury following a blocked shot in a game against the St. Louis Blues where he skated in 32 minutes and 42 seconds.

Wild head coach John Hynes indicated on Tuesday that Johansson was going to try and skate but he ended up not skating. Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin said they won't travel on the road trip.

"Yeah, I know JoJo’s tried it," Guerin said about any updates on Brodin or Johansson. "They’re close but not on this road trip."
