Wild Send Wallstedt, Boyd To Iowa

ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild (20-10-4) announced on Sunday that goaltender Jesper Wallstedt and forward Travis Boyd were reassigned to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Wallstedt, 22, made two starts for the Wild during his time here. He went 0-2-0 with a 4.09 goals-against average and a .843 save percentage.

The Wild lost 3-2 to the Vegas Golden Knights with Wallstedt in net and lost to the Winnipeg Jets 5-0 with Wallstedt in net.

Boyd, 31, played in one game during his time here. He had zero points on ten shifts against the Jets.

Sending both Wallstedt and Boyd down means Filip Gustavsson is at least ready to be a backup or start, and Yakov Trenin could be available to play with Boyd being sent down.
