Wild Reveal Starting Goaltender For Winnipeg Jets Game

The Minnesota Wild (20-9-4) are on the road tonight to face the Winnipeg Jets (23-10-1) following a five-game homestand that resulted in only one win.

After Marc-Andre Fleury played in the last two games and three of the last four, the Wild will turn to rookie goaltender Jesper Wallstedt in Winnipeg.

Filip Gustavsson has missed the last four games with an injury and will now miss the last five.

Wallstedt, 21, is 0-1-0 this season with a 3.12 goals-against average (GAA) and a .889 save percentage (SV%). He is 2-2-0 in his NHL career with a 3.04 GAA and a .895 SV%.

It will be a tough matchup for the rookie goaltender. The Jets are currently the league's best team and have scored 123 goals in 34 games which is the most in the NHL.

This is also the second of a back-to-back. The Wild dropped the game on Friday against the Utah Hockey Club (16-11-5) by a score of 2-1. Although the Wild might have outplayed Utah, they still walked away with a loss.

They now have to face the league's best on the road for a second of a back-to-back. But, Minnesota is 12-2-3 on the road this year which is the best record in the NHL.
