Wild Prospect's NHL Debut Will Have To Wait

One of the Minnesota Wild's (24-11-4) prospects is with the team in Carolina but he won't play tonight.

Carson Lambos was recalled by the Wild before their two-game road trip to be the extra defenseman with Jared Spurgeon out with an injury.

But after the Wild beat the Washington Capitals on Thursday, they decided not to make any changes to the lineup tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes (23-13-2). Meaning, Lambos will have to wait a little longer for his NHL debut.

Lambos, 21, was the Wild's 26th overall pick from the 2021 NHL Draft. This is his first time being called up to the NHL in his career.

The 6-foot-1 defender has two goals and five points in Iowa this season and has six goals and 19 points in 96 career AHL games across two seasons.
