Wild Give Prospect Liam Ohgren A Big Opportunity
ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild (28-16-4) are set to host the Calgary Flames (23-16-7) tonight. At morning skate, it looked like there would be no changes to the lineup other than the goaltender.
In warmups before the game, Liam Ohgren was moved up to the top-six and Ryan Hartman was dropped down a line.
The Wild's third line is now Marcus Foligno, Freddy Gaudreau and Hartman. Joel Eriksson Ek was moved up to the first line to center Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello.
Ohgren was moved up to play with Marco Rossi and Matt Boldy. Ohgren started the game on Thursday against the Utah Hockey Club on a line with Foligno and Gaudreau.
He ended the game in the top six playing with Eriksson Ek and Kaprizov. The Wild's 2022 19th overall pick was rewarded in a game where he played great in. He now will start the game on Saturday against the Flames in a top-six role.
Ohgren, 20, has two assists in three games since being recalled. He played 15 minutes last game after playing around ten in the previous two games.
