Khaira, 30, played in one NHL game for the Wild last year and it came in the first month of the season. He had one hit, one blocked shot, and spent the rest of the season in the AHL.
With the Iowa Wild, Khaira spent most of the season injured but he did play in 22 games. The 6-foot-4 forward recorded five goals, 13 assists, 18 points, and was a plus-9.
The veteran forward has played games at the NHL level in each of the last nine seasons. He has recorded 33 goals, 80 points, and 784 hits in 337 career games.
Now, he will look to impress with the Crunch and potently keep his streak going to ten straight seasons. The Crunch also signed Iowa Wild forward Joel Teasdale to a PTO. He had seven goals, six assists, and 13 points in 65 games for Iowa last year.
