Wichita Eagle honors best high school cross country runners on 2024 All-Metro team
The Wichita area featured some of the best high school cross country runners in Kansas this season, and that star power is highlighted on 2024 All-Metro cross country team team selected by The Eagle.
The All-Metro squad features the top seven runners and a Coach of the Year from teams in Sedgwick, Butler and Harvey counties. Selections are based on season-long performance with a heavy emphasis on postseason finishes.
Trinity Academy swept both of the Runner of the Year awards, as senior Caleb Tofteland (boys) and junior Emily Hein (girls) both became first-time winners of the top honor.
Below is the full listing of the All-Metro teams.
