Week 18 is ALMOST officially here in the NFL, with some teams that have nothing to play for -- check out our list of teams who could rest their starters -- and others that need to win to get into the postseason (check out our look at the playoff picture!).

But if you're hoping to see a game on Thursday night on Amazon Prime Video, I'm here to be the bearer of bad news: There's no Thursday Night Football game on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Why is that? Good question!

First off, there are 32 NFL teams and the TNF schedule was 16 weeks long (from Week 2 to Week 17). That made sure all 32 squads played on a Thursday during the season. But also, I'm sure the league wants to make sure that teams vying for the postseason aren't unfairly getting less rest before the final week.

So there will be a couple of games on Saturday and the rest on Sunday.

There you have it! Enjoy the weekend of football starting in a couple of days!
