Why Stephen A. Smith says the Dallas Cowboys should trade for Davante Adams

The Las Vegas Raiders are open to trading star wide receiver Davante Adams with a reported asking price of a second-round draft pick and additional compensation per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Adams has reportedly expressed interest in playing for the New Orleans Saints and the New York Jets, likely because he played with quarterbacks Derek Carr and Aaron Rodgers earlier in his career.

Stephen A. Smith was on “First Take,” discussing what teams should go after Adams and said the Cowboys should be front and center.

“It’s the Dallas Cowboys that’s who the hell should get him,” said Smith, “Didn’t you just sign CeeDee Lamb to all that money, didn’t you just sign Dak Prescott to all that money, didn’t you fail to get Derek Henry...if you’re not going to give him a running game you know what you have to do you have to give him a bevy of weapons have a Davonte Adams join a CeeDee Lamb with a Brandin Cooks and say all right fine we going to fling the [expletive] football.”

According to the Atheltic’s Dianna Russini, the Cowboys are interested in Adams and monitoring Adams’ situation in Las Vegas.

If Adams was acquired by the Cowboys, he and Lamb would be one of if not the best WR duos in the NFL.

Between the two of them, they have five NFL All-Pro selections and nine Pro Bowls.

This year Adams has 18 catches for 209 yards with one touchdown and has had at least 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns in each of the last four seasons.
