Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs monitoring Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic, and the Bianconeri are ready to listen to offers for the Serbian for more than a reason.

Vlahovic missed the last two Juventus matches due to a minor muscle injury, so his absence against Torino and Atalanta has nothing to do with transfer matters.

Nevertheless, the Juventus forward is one of the most talked-about strikers this month.

The Serbia international has a contract expiring in 2026 and all the most reliable Italian sources claim that he and his entourage are unwilling to extend under Juventus’ conditions.

Vlahovic’s salary automatically increased to €12m this season, making him the highest-paid player in the league.

Juventus want to spread his wages over a longer period, but Vlahovic is unwilling to do so.

This means the Old Lady will have to consider offers for him in January or during the summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer in a year.

At the same time, Thiago Motta’s management of the talented striker has raised eyebrows in Italy.

Vlahovic is the best Juventus scorer this season but also one of the most substituted Bianconeri players, having been subbed off 12 times.

Motta has never admitted it publicly, but Vlahovic is not the ideal centre-forward for his playing style, given that the Juventus coach prefers link-up strikers like, for example, Joshua Zirkzee. Even Fabio Capello has recently warned Motta against expecting from Vlahovic the same he wanted from Zirkzee at Bologna last season.

Juventus are also on the verge of signing Randal Kolo Muani on loan from PSG, but the French striker’s signature is unrelated to Vlahovic’s transfer situation.

Juventus, in fact, do not have a backup striker for Vlahovic, given that injury-hit Arkadiusz Milik has yet to feature this season.

However, Juventus are undoubtedly preparing for life after Vlahovic. As suggested by Calciomercato.com, they’d be happy to consider an offer for their striker worth at least €60m.
