If you’ve got a sweet tooth for doughnuts, you’re in for a treat. Several Charlotte restaurants are offering free desserts and deals in honor of National Doughnut Day.
(And for the record, there are two doughnut holidays: The first is Friday, June 2, and the second on Sunday, Nov. 5, which means double the celebrations and double the deals.)
Luckily for Charlotte locals, there are over 30 doughnut shops in the area to indulge in the delectable dessert. Here’s a list of which ones will be offering deals (or freebies) in honor of the holiday:
Burney’s Sweets & More

How to celebrate: Stop by Burney’s Sweets & More for a doughnut and leave with an extra dessert. For National Doughnut Day, both bakery locations will be offering free glazed or filled croissants with any doughnut purchase.
BW Sweets Bakery
Location: 5820 E W.T. Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28215
How to celebrate: Stop by BW Sweets Bakery and get a doughnut of your choice for $1. All flavors on the menu, including glazed and birthday cake, will be discounted for the holiday.

Confections of a Martian
Location: 1730 Abbey Place, Charlotte, NC 28209
How to celebrate: Confections of a Martian — run by former Leah & Louise pastry chef and Johnson & Wales University alum Jasmine Macon — will be giving away one free vanilla glazed doughnut per person outside of her new shop, Beyond Amazing Donuts, opening soon. Doughnuts will be offered beginning at 8 a.m. until the shop runs out.
Donut I Love U

How to celebrate: Donut I Love You will be popping up at two locations for National Doughnut Day. You can treat yourself to the gluten-free doughnut food truck at Williams and Fudge from 7:30 a.m.-12 p.m. and Cabarrus Brewing Company from 5-9 p.m. In honor of the holiday, if you buy two orders, you will get a third for free.
Down for Doughnuts

How to celebrate: Down for Doughnuts will be celebrating National Doughnut Day by offering free doughnuts with any purchase. The Mooresville shop serves several flavors, including s’mores, maple bacon and cookies and cream.
Duck Donuts

How to celebrate: North Carolina based Duck Donuts will be offering free cinnamon sugar doughnuts to customers. You can stop by any location to get one with no purchase necessary.
Dunkin’ Donuts

How to celebrate: In honor of National Doughnut Day, Dunkin’ Donuts will give out a free doughnut of your choice with any drink purchase. The limited-time offer will only be available at participating locations and excludes espresso shots and specialty doughnuts.
Krispy Kreme
Location: Multiple
How to celebrate: This year, Krispy Kreme is offering two deals at participating locations. In addition to getting a free doughnut of your choice, you can also get a $2 Original Glazed dozen when you buy any box of a dozen doughnuts. The free deal is only redeemable for in-person purchases but the dozen deal is available in shop or online for pickup and delivery.
Milkbread

Rise & Shine Doughnut Cafe
