Where the Bears rank statistically heading into Week 8
The Chicago Bears (4-2) are coming off their bye week, where they're riding a three-game winning streak and had an opportunity for some of their key contributors to rest and get healthy ahead of a pivotal Week 8 showdown against the Washington Commanders (5-2).
In their last game, the Bears dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 35-16 win. After a slow start in the first quarter, quarterback Caleb Williams and the offense went off with five touchdown drives for the second consecutive games, including four passing touchdowns from Williams, en route to a 35-16 win. While the defense was missing some key starers in the secondary, they continued to dominate holding the Jaguars to just 16 points -- the 12th consecutive game where they've held an opponent to 21 points or fewer.
