Remember the viral clip when Aston Villa’s André Onana – speaking in French – suddenly reverted to a perfect cockney accent when an interviewer called him André?

The journalist was seemingly confused between the midfielder and Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana, and Amadou reacted by saying “André’s not even my name mate, d’ya know what I mean?”

Luckily for the journalist, Onana has seen the funny side, and has even acknowledged how the clip has been made into a meme by wearing his own custom-made t-shirt.

Maybe he feels it’s the best way for to get his own back for a shocking lack of research.
