Week 5 brought another thrilling slate of football - unless, of course, you are a diehard fan of special teams play.

It was a record-breaking day for NFL kickers — in a bad way. There were a record-tying 12 missed extra points, the most since Week 11 back in 2016.

The kicks were particularly bad in the Green Bay Packers and Cincinnati Bengals contest, as there were a combined 6 missed kicks in the inter-conference clash, including five botched field goals.

Luckily the missed kicks didn’t take away from another tremendous weekend of football, which included the Buffalo Bills making a league-wide statement on Sunday night with a dismantling of the Kansas City Chiefs.

This week, we do it all over again, with a pivotal AFC showdown, the remaining undefeated team going on the road for a stiff test, and the oldest rivalry in football adding a new chapter.

Here is a look at the must-watch games in Week 6:

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears

Sunday, Oct. 17 at 1:00PM ET | Live Stream

Spread: Packers -4.5

Over/Under Total: 45.0

Moneyline: Packers (-220), Bears (+180)

The most-played rivalry game in NFL history adds a new quarterback to the fold this Sunday.

Justin Fields will lead the Bears into this division matchup and will be looking for his third straight win as a starter. Unfortunately, in this week’s game, he goes head-to-head with a quarterback who has participated in this rivalry 27 times.

Yes, Aaron Rodgers enters his 28th game against the team from the Windy City, and let’s just say he has fared quite well. The three-time MVP has a 22-5 all-time record against the Bears, plus a win in the lone playoff opportunity.

But Bears fans have renewed hope that they have possibly found the quarterback who might finally be able to turn the tide. After struggling in his first start against the Cleveland Browns, Fields has led the Bears to two straight wins and a winning record of 3-2.

The Ohio State product is still struggling through the air, as the Bears currently rank dead last in passing offence, averaging just a measly 113.2 yards per game. They are the only team in the NFL that is currently averaging more rushing yards (126.8) than passing… not usually what you want to see. However, Fields did throw for his first career passing touchdown last weekend in a 20-9 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

This week, he will probably need to throw for a few more, because you know the guy on the other sideline will. After a struggle in Week 1, the Packers’ offence looks like itself again en route to rattling off four straight wins.

Davante Adams is a large reason for that success, as the All-Pro receiver currently leads the league in receiving yards after a 206-yard outburst last week in an overtime win against the Bengals.

The Bears, who lead the league in sacks with 18, will have to try and do their best to corral Adams and Rodgers if they want to give their rookie quarterback any chance of winning his inaugural matchup in this storied rivalry.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Baltimore Ravens

Sunday, Oct. 17 at 1:00PM ET | Live Stream

Spread: Ravens -3.0

Over/Under Total: 52.0

Moneyline: Chargers (+130), Ravens (-150)

If the Buffalo Bills had the most impressive win in the AFC in Week 5, the Chargers and Ravens were both a close second. This week, they match up in what should be a high-scoring affair between two 4-1 teams.

Both quarterbacks come into this one fresh off leading their teams to double-digit comeback victories in Week 5.

Ravens pivot Lamar Jackson steered the Ravens to a win after trailing by 19 points in the most recent Monday nighter against the Indianapolis Colts. All he had to do was complete 37 of 43 passes for a Ravens franchise-record 442 yards. It is probably time to put to bed the "he would make a better running back" narrative.

The 2019 MVP led the Ravens to three consecutive drives to send the game into overtime, before engineering a fourth to win the game.

On the other side of the ball, Herbert led a 14-point second-half comeback against the Browns in Week 5, where he threw for 398 yards and four touchdowns, while also running for one. The four he threw in Week 5 gave the Oregon alum 44 career passing touchdowns through his first 20 career starts, good for fourth on the all-time list behind Patrick Mahomes, Kurt Warner and Dan Marino — not bad company.

The two youngsters will go head-to-head this weekend with the result potentially having AFC playoff seeding implications down the line.

In a game that very could well come down to who has the ball last, the Ravens should have the ability to control the clock with the run game. The Chargers are the worst team in the league at defending the run, giving up 157.6 yards per game, including 230 last weekend against the Browns. Now they face Jackson and the Ravens, who know a thing or two about carrying the rock, currently sporting the fourth-best rushing attack.

But with Herbert slinging it the way he is, and a number of playmakers on defence, the Chargers will have every chance to pull off their second straight win against an AFC North opponent.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Cleveland Browns

Sunday, Oct. 17 at 4:05PM ET | Live Stream

Spread: Browns -2.5

Over/Under Total: 49.5

Moneyline: Cardinals (+125), Ravens (-145)

There hasn’t been a more impressive team in the NFC this season than the Arizona Cardinals. A squad that many had picked to finish last in their division, all the Cardinals have done to start the 2021-22 season is rattle off five straight victories, including back-to-back wins over division opponents in Weeks 4 and 5.

Kyler Murray is a top-tier MVP candidate, the offence has more weapons than it knows what to do with and the defence has enough playmakers to make the big plays the team needs. Things are firing on all cylinders for Kliff Kingsbury’s squad, but this week they face another stiff test when they head on the road to Cleveland.

It’s a matchup between two former No. 1 picks from Oklahoma University, as Murray, the 2019 first-overall selection, will go up against 2018 top pick Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield has not had quite the success that Murray has enjoyed this season, but the Browns still currently sit at 3-2, and are just a game out of first place in the AFC North. They also have yet to lose back-to-back games under head coach Kevin Stefanski, which is a trend they hope continues this weekend.

If a win is in their future, they will have to rely on their No. 1 ranked rushing attack, which currently leads the league at 187.6 yards per contest. Running back Nick Chubb is second in the league with 523 rushing yards, trailing only Derrick Henry. The second head of the dynamic duo, Kareem Hunt, is tied for second in the NFL in rushing touchdowns with five.

The Browns will have to try to keep the ball out of Murray’s hands and rely on a return to form from their defence. Cleveland’s defence came into last week’s contest against the Chargers as a top-three unit against both the pass and the run, before giving up 47 points and over 500 yards of offence in the loss.

If they can’t figure things out this weekend, Murray and the Cardinals will go another week without a blemish in the loss column.
