Yahoo Sports West Ham winger Cornet joins Genoa on loan
West Ham winger Maxwel Cornet has joined Italian side Genoa on loan until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old Ivory Coast international was on a season-long loan at Southampton, which has been cut short to allow him to move to Serie A.
Cornet, who signed for West Ham from Burnley on a five-year contract in 2022, made four appearances for the Saints.
During his time with the Hammers he scored one goal in 37 appearances and was part of the squad that won the Europa Conference League in 2023.
Genoa, who are 12th in the Italy's top flight, are managed by former Arsenal and France midfielder Patrick Vieira.
