West Ham United midfielder Jess Ziu has signed a new long-term deal with the club.

The Hammers announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Ziu joined West Ham United from Shelbourne in summer 2022, however, the player sustained an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury early in her career in East London, resulting in a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The midfielder returned to fitness towards the end of the 2022/2023 season and she has been able to make 19 appearances for West Ham United in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

There is lots more to come from Ziu and she will continue her development at West Ham United after signing a new long-term contract with the club.

After agreeing to extend her stay with The Hammers, Ziu said “It feels amazing to have extended my contract at West Ham United. I love being here. From the moment I walked through the gates at Chadwell Heath, I knew this was where I wanted to be.

“Because of the knee injury that I sustained in my first year at the Club, it feels like I’m only just getting started in a West Ham shirt but I’m more determined than ever before. I’m looking forward to coming back for pre-season and working hard to show what I can do in the seasons to come.”

Ziu is the fourth player to sign a contract extension with West Ham United this summer.
