According to Sky Germany, West Ham United are edging closer to a deal for Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui.

It had previously been reported that West Ham were competing with Manchester United for the Morrocan’s signature. However, now, the London-based club are in pole position to sign Mazraoui.

It is understood that talks with Der Rekordmeister have accelerated over the past 24 hours, with the two clubs looking to agree on a fee for the 26-year-old. Bayern are demanding €20 million, including additional bonus payments, in order to offload Mazraoui.

Nevertheless, West Ham are yet to give the green light on the deal. It is believed that the club are still considering other targets, such as Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United.

Regardless, Mazraoui is keen on a move to the Premier League and the London Stadium. Whether it be a permanent sale or a loan with an option to buy, it is expected that the right-back will depart Bayern this summer.
