West Ham need to sell before signing PSG’s Carlos Soler
According to a report by The Athletic, West Ham United are keen on signing Paris Saint-Germain’s Carlos Soler (27) on a loan deal with an obligation to buy but any transfer would rely on the English club selling first after an active window where they’ve invested heavily.
Soler has struggled for consistent game time since joining the French champions from his formative club Valencia CF in 2022. The midfielder had arrived as the first wave of the new project that has taken shape in the capital club, which focused more on a cohesive squad rather than bringing in star names.
West Ham, Brighton, and Real Sociedad all interested in Carlos Soler
Soler has performed well despite not being the first name on the teamsheet throughout either of his two seasons at PSG, but with multiple clubs interested in the Spaniard and PSG keen to allow some of their midfielders to leave this summer, his time at the club looked as if it would not carry on into a third season.
