West Ham, PSG Boosted as Al-Nassr Set to Sign Alternative to £85M-Rated Aston Villa Star
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly showing interest in Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán as they look to strengthen their attack with a long-term investment.
Journalist Ben Jacobs noted that PSG are keen on the Colombian striker but face a significant hurdle in Aston Villa’s £80 million valuation. This steep price tag reflects Durán’s strong performance and his recent contract extension.
Aston Villa appear firm in their stance to retain Durán unless an exceptional offer comes their way. PSG, however, value the player closer to £55 million, leaving a substantial gap in negotiations. In the meantime, other clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation closely.
Jacobs also revealed that Villa recently turned down a £57 million bid from West Ham, marking the Premier League club’s second offer during this window. Villa are said to be holding out for proposals closer to £85 million (€100 million).
Al-Nassr is out of the Jhon Durán transfer race?
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently shared that Al-Nassr might be stepping away from the Durán saga as they shift their focus to another No. 9. Romano also reports that the club has officially opened talks to sign Victor Boniface as their next striker.
On Tuesday, Florian Plettenberg reported that Boniface is set to join Al-Nassr after Bayer Leverkusen and the Saudi club finalized a transfer agreement worth over €60 million. The 24-year-old striker has agreed to a deal earning him €15 million net per season and has already completed his medical with Al-Nassr.

Meanwhile, in the latest edition of The Athletic’s Transfer DealSheet, David Ornstein revealed the latest regarding Durán’s future at Aston Villa amid the recent transfer gossip.
“A firm decision has yet to be made but should bids of around £80m arrive for the 21-year-old Colombia international — whose goals-to-minutes ratio is among the finest around — and it suits all parties, a switch is certainly possiblem,” Ornstein wrote.
“If Duran does not depart on this occasion, his age and quality mean it could well happen in the not-too-distant future and for a greater fee.”
