As well as Rashford: One Utd star has been completely omitted from the matchday squad – he’s not injured
Marcus Rashford has been overlooked for Ruben Amorim’s matchday squad for a fourth successive game. Tonight, he’s not the only Manchester United player to be watching on from home…
Indeed, Tyrell Malacia is nowhere to be seen at the Molineux this evening despite being fully fit and available for selection.
After the official team news release confirmed his absence, Samuel Luckhurst took to X/Twitter to reveal that the fullback was not injured – as most fans would’ve suspected he was.

Malacia being omitted was one of two changes to Amorim’s starting XI this evening, the other being Rasmus Hojlund in place of Joshua Zirkzee.
Rashford and Malacia miss out vs Wolves
It remains to be seen when the pair will return to the fold, particularly Rashford, whose future at Old Trafford looks entirely uncertain after he admitted he was seeking a new challenge elsewhere.
Heading into the campaign, the prospect of United’s homegrown No.10 being offloaded mid-season would’ve been unthinkable. Now, there are questions as to whether he’s played his final game in red.
“Yeah, it’s my decision,” Amorim recently said of Rashford’s continued absences. “He wants to play, he’s trying, but it’s my decision, only my decision.
“I spoke with a lot of players, individually and during training. I’m doing this my way, and it’s the only way I know. If I don’t do that, I lose myself, and I don’t want to lose myself. I know what I’m doing.”
The 27-year-old’s extortionate £325,000-a-week wages mean there are few clubs that’d be able to match his financial demands. Paris Saint-Germain, for whom money is no obstacle, previously had an approach rebuffed back in 2022 – yet recent speculation has suggested they’re uninterested in reviving their interest if Rashford is made available in the near future.
