What to watch today at the Olympics: Feb. 19-20

Canadians to watch:​

- Men's curling, Canada vs. Japan, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET on Monday

Kevin Koe and his rink can't afford another loss. Despite a strong start, Team Canada has now been beaten three times in a row and, with only two draws remaining, are in danger of stumbling out of the playoffs.

- Figure skating dance free, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET on Monday

After setting a new world record with a score of 83.67 in the short program, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir find themselves chasing history.

With victory in the free skate, the three-time world champions would become only the second pair to win two Olympic ice dance gold medals. But with French rivals Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron less than two points behind, Virtue and Moir can't afford any slips.

Canada's Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier (69.60) as well as Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje (74.33) will also be competing in the final.

- Women's ski halfpipe final, Cassie Sharpe, Rosalind Groenewoud, 8:30 p.m. on Monday

Having soared through qualification in top spot, Canada's Cassie Sharpe is the favourite going into the women's final. The 25-year-old native of Comox, B.C. is joined by Calgary's Rosalind Groenewoud, who also advanced despite competing with a broken arm.

- Men's hockey playoff qualification, United States vs. Slovakia, 10:10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. ET on Monday

Men's hockey qualification begins with the United States vs. Slovakia. The winner of this match will advance to play the Czech Republic in the quarter-finals.

- Women's curling, Canada vs. China, 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. ET on Tuesday

Following a disastrous 0-3 start, Canada has risen back into playoff contention with three straight wins. Skip Rachel Homan and her Ottawa-based rink take on China in Draw 7.

- Men's hockey playoff qualification, Slovenia vs. Norway, 2:40 a.m. to 5 a.m. ET on Tuesday

Slovenia takes on Norway in men's hockey qualification for the right to play the Olympic Athletes from Russia in the quarter-finals.

- Short track, Kim Boutin, Samuel Girard, Charles Hamelin, Marianne St-Gelais, 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. ET on Tuesday.

Kim Boutin, fresh of winning bronze medals in the 500 metres and 1,500, will look to qualify for the 1,000 final, along with veteran Marianne St-Gelais and Valerie Maltais. Boutin and St-Gelais will also compete for a medal alongside teammates Kasandra Bradette and Jamie Macdonald in the 3,000 team relay, an event in which Canada won silver in Sochi.

On the men's side, Samuel Girard will attempt to add to his gold in the men's 1,000 as he and veteran Charles Hamelin look to qualify for the 500.

- Bobsleigh women's runs 1 and 2, Kaillie Humphries, 6:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. ET on Tuesday

Reigning world champion Kaillie Humphries begins her pursuit of a third straight Olympic gold medal as the first two runs of the women's' bobsleigh competition gets under way. Phylicia George will serve as Humphries' brakeman, while former partner Heather Moyse will back up pilot Alysia Rissling in Canada's second sled, with Christine de Bruin and Melissa Lotholz in Canada's third sled.

- Men's hockey playoff qualification, Switzerland vs. Germany, Finland vs. Korea, 7:10 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday.

Canada will learn who its quarter-final opponent will be as Finland takes on Korea in men's hockey qualification action, while the winner of Switzerland vs. Germany will advance to face Sweden.
