Watch: P.K. Subban goes full Nashville, rocks cowboy hat in warmup
P.K. Subban is embracing every single facet of being a Nashville Predator.
Aside from the generally-great weather, exceptional country music scene, scrumptious barbeque, and a fledgling but hardcore fan base, there’s another (and perhaps the most overlooked) perk to playing hockey professional hockey in Tennessee: Wearing a cowboy hat in warmup is totally acceptable.
Subban participated in the pre-game skate ahead of Nashville’s contest against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday rocking a finely-built straw cowboy hat. Naturally, the bold look caused quite a reaction around the hockey world.

This might get Mike Milbury's blood boiling, but P.K. Subban is wearing a cowboy hat and a huge smile during warmups.

As is often the case with Subban, the surprising fashion choice wasn’t a random act. The Predators wore their pink Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys for warmup, and replicas of the special western-style lid that P.K. rocked could be purchased for a five dollars donation to help raise funds in support of cancer research.
