Watch: Max Pacioretty sets Canadiens record with 10th overtime goal

The Montreal Canadiens have a new member among the pages of their storied record book.

Max Pacioretty busted in all alone on Buffalo Sabres goaltender Chad Johnson before making a slick backhand move and sliding home the overtime winner on Saturday. The marker vaulted the Habs captain into a special place in Canadiens history, with his 10th career OT goal setting a new franchise record for overtime tallies.

Pacioretty added an assist on Andrew’s Shaw’s first goal of the game, giving the 28-year-old eight goals and 12 points in 17 games this season. The record-setting winner also gave the Canadiens their seventh victory in the last 10 contests.
