Watch: Julián Álvarez signs Atlético Madrid jerseys for fans

Incoming Atlético Madrid signing Julián Álvarez has on Sunday done his part in confirming his arrival at the club.

The name of frontman Álvarez has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital across the week to date.

This comes after confirmation was forthcoming that the brass at the aforementioned Atlético had reached an agreement with their counterparts at Premier League champions Manchester City, over the Argentine’s signing.

After bidding farewell to Álvaro Morata, the Rojiblancos’ search for attacking reinforcements led them directly to Álvarez, whom Diego Simeone is understood to have personally sought out.

The World Cup winner has since made the journey to Madrid, ahead of undergoing a medical, and putting pen to paper on terms with his new club.

And, as alluded to above, on Sunday, Álvarez took some time out for the Atléti faithful.

Stopped by a group of the club’s supporters on Sunday evening, the 24-year-old signed the jersey of his new club for the very first time.
