Watch: Hurricanes hoop with latest Storm Surge

This was Trevor van Riemsdyk’s one shining moment.

With the ball in his hands in isolation and a pick provided from teammate Calvin de Haan, van Riemsdyk drove right with his dribble, carried, travelled and dunked to send the fans home happy with the Carolina Hurricanes’ latest production of the Storm Surge.

Yes, the March Madness-themed edition of the team celebration that certain pundits just can’t stand is sure to indulge the basketball fans in Carolina who are cheering on the likes of Duke and UNC in the NCAA Tournament.

Of note: There were 16,751 fans in the stands to watch the Hurricanes hammer the Minnesota Wild 5-1 before they rolled into the hoop.

The Storm Surge couldn’t be working, could it?
