The Hershey Bears made it pour teddy bears and stuffed animals in record amounts on Sunday.
The Bears, which are the Washington Capitals' AHL affiliate, held their teddy bear toss against the Providence Bears, the Boston Bruins' AHL affiliate.
Heading into the game with the previous hockey world record of 74,599 teddy bears and stuffed animals, which they set last year, fans in attendance smashed that mark when Bears forward Mike Sgarbossa scored the team's first goal of the game.
Hershey announced it collected 102,343 teddy bears and stuffed animals from the toss. That's almost one-fifth of the 566,450 stuffed animals the team's teddy bear toss has collected since 2001.
"Bring on the sweet cuddly mayhem," said Bears commentator Zack Firsch as the plushies began to fly.
