How to watch Bears vs. Cardinals today: Start time, TV channel, live stream for Week 9
Two postseason hopefuls that few had penciled in as playoff contenders before the 2024 NFL season began meet in one of the more intriguing games set for Week 9.
Quarterback Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals, who would win the NFC West based on tiebreakers if the season were to end today, will host the rookie Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears on Sunday for a matchup of teams trying to buck preseason expectations.
The Cardinals (4-4) are coming off their third win in four games – a 28-27 victory on the road against the Miami Dolphins last week during which Murray threw for a season-high 307 yards and two touchdowns as Arizona overcame a 10-point second-half deficit. Rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and tight end Trey McBride each exceeded 100 yards receiving.
The Bears (4-3) suffered a stunning Week 8 loss to the Washington Commanders thanks to a Hail Mary on the final play of the game. Though the setback put Chicago in last place in the highly competitive NFC North, it sits just one game out from the final NFC playoff spot ahead of Week 9. Williams helped orchestrate a fourth-quarter touchdown drive to give the Bears the lead for the first time with 25 seconds at Washington, but he also completed a season-low 41.3% of his passes for 141 yards for the game.
